ITA or Individual Training Account is a Scottish Government Initiative to assist the unemployed and low earners to develop their skills to improve their job prospects.

The next round of funding starts on 1st July 2020 and has an allocation of 14,000 applications. The funding will expire on 31st October 2020 if the 14,000 target hasn’t been met. In light of the Coronavirus pandemic we don’t expect the funding to last until the expiry date so the sooner you secure your funding allocation, the sooner you can be sure of your training opportunity.

If you qualify for the scheme, Skills Development Scotland will contribute up to £200 towards the cost of learning to drive a forklift for example.

More information on the ITA funding is available on the Skills Development Scotland website.
