Our accreditation with the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association provides assurances for the crane training we deliver. For 2019 we are seeking accreditation for our slinger/signaller courses and rigging/lifting courses as well as being able to deliver additional accredited modules to our crane courses such as magnetic and vacuum lifting.
Alba Training are accredited by RTITB for the delivery of our lift truck training, instructor training, manual handling training, managers and supervisor training, slinger signaller training, overhead crane training and vehicle banksman training.
Our accreditation with the Association of Lorry Loader Manufacturers and Importers enables us to deliver lorry loader courses for novices, experienced users and refresher training. We can cover a full range of attachments as well as specialist category F when certificating marine knuckle boom cranes. We can also deliver the slinger/signaller training which complements the crane operator certification.
We have over 40 years training experience in the materials handling industry.
We are accredited to conduct instructor and operator training at our training centre and on customer premises across the United Kingdom and Ireland.
We pride ourselves in the quality and expertise of the small team of instructors we employ and the training we provide. Our approach to training sets us apart from our competitors: we approach forklift training in a fun, laid back manner which we believe creates a less formal training environment which in turn creates a more rewarding learning experience.
Don’t take our word for it: read some of the great reviews our trainees and customers have left us on Facebook, Free Index and Google.
We are the only training centre in Scotland that provides full and part time courses, evenings and weekends, at our training centre in Cumbernauld, Glasgow.
The training centre is Learning Direct Approved, which means our courses qualify for government funding when it is available and is regularly monitored by our accrediting bodies.
It is equipped with a Counterbalance, Reach and Bendi forklift trucks, pedestrian operated pallet trucks and MEWP scissor lift access machines. Our diverse range of pallets, load sizes and weights, bulk stacking opportunities and pallet racking configurations ensures a realistic training environment. Additionally we have the facillities to ensure that training is still effective where equipment is hired in for the purposes of training.
All of our courses are either pre-approved for a funding opportunity or approval can be obtained where required. Click here for more information on how to apply for a funding opportunity towards the cost of your training.
