We provide Counterbalance Forklift Driver Training at our Training Centre in Cumbernauld, Glasgow and on-site across Scotland.
If you are considering learning to drive a forklift for the first time then the counterbalance is the best place to start. It is the most common type of forklift truck in the UK with the most popular size category in the 2.5t to 3.5t range.
The counterbalance truck operates on a very simple principle: a counterweight positioned over the back wheels counterbalances the load that is lifted on the forks. This basic principle forms the foundation for the basic principle in which other lift trucks operate.
We can offer 4 different Counterbalance Courses:
Our courses are accredited by RTITB, recognised nationally for Counterbalance Forklift Training.
The Counterbalance trucks we use for training are Toyota’s 4 wheel trucks with capacities of 1500kgs and 2000kgs which is in the most common lift truck size category (B1) . These trucks are suitable for lorry loading training situations and with our pallet racking and realistically sized UK spec pallets we can accurately replicate typical warehousing conditions as well.
