Wave Training Courses
The Crown Work Assist Vehicle or Wave is a versatile medium level order picker and light duty MEWP. Our training courses are tailored to ensure a Wave operator utilises the machine to its full potential.

We offer 2 levels of training for Wave operators:

  • Refresher Training for trained or existing operators
  • Basic Training for novice operators

We can also tailor our courses to suit your specific site operating requirements.

Both of our courses have been tailored to comply with the manufacturers training requirements as well as the legal requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) 1998.

We can also train your own staff to deliver in-house wave training.

Our in-house instructor course for the Wave machine is tailored so that your own staff can train new employees and refresh existing employees.

Wave Refresher Training
The refresher course for Wave operators is a ½ day course for a maximum of 3 operators.

It is ideal for trained wave operators who need to refresh their skills but it can also used to validate existing skills.

Syllabus
The refresher course covers:

  • Operators DVD and Safety Session
  • Pre-Use Inspection
  • Remedial Tuition (Where necessary)
  • Theoretical Assessment
  • Final Practical Assessment


 
Wave Basic Training
The basic training course is a 1 day course for novice operators with no experience operating the wave machine.

The course is limited to 3 operators per day.



Syllabus
The basic training course covers:
  • Operators DVD and Safety Session
  • Basic Steering Exercises
  • Narrow Aisle Entry (Optional)
  • Order Picking
  • Manual Handling
  • Pre-Use Inspection
  • Theoretical Assessment
  • Final Practical Assessment
